Honda Atvs

I currently have 2 Honda atvs. I love them both and have had Hondas growing up so I am brand loyal. I am thinking of replacing my 2003 Rincon with the new 680 FI model but they dont have the powersteering available in the Rincons yet only the Ranchers and the Foremans. Anyone have PS yet and how do you like it or should I just get the new 680 Rincon.

Don't be a brand loyalist.  There are a lot of great quads out there with a number of advancements.   Wink

Riding up and down passes in the Rockies, I would definitely look for something with engine braking/descent control.  I would also lean away from the Rincon as it doesn't have a low range.  I had a 2006 Rincon F1, and if it weren't for the Rockies I would still have it.  I took it there in 2007 & 2008, and I traded it pretty quick on my return to Pa., as in not even 2 weeks later I had a 2008 CanAm 650 Outlander.

After having an IRS machine, there's no going back to swing arm for me.  I'm not brand loyal, started out on a Kawasaki 3-wheeler I bought New in '84, then a '00 Yamaha Kodiak, to a '06 Rincon, to a '08 CanAm.  Next 1 likely a Polaris if they still make them till then.

I hear you on the IRS machines, never had any problems needing low range on my Rincon and I do a ton of riding in the Rockies. Basically would like to upgrade to FI and possibly PS for the convenience and to help my left arm which has some nerve damage..

i have a polaris with eps and after driving  techinical trails i would never go back to an atv with out power steering. i use to be a very brand loyal person to honda. but after i got to looking around a lot of other manufacturers were offering superior atv's for less money. plus, our local honda dealer closed its doors and to buy a honda i had to drive over an hour. i totally agree that IRS is the way to go.

honda had its day.  now the new yamaha and Polaris machines are extremely tough to beat.  Go get yourself a new grizzly with power steering.  you won't turn back

Spent years riding in colorado. On the back of a yamaha, King Quad, & a rincon. I know ride an polaris 850 xp eps le!! It'll be a long time before I ever change, awesome machine! Power steering, low range, & a solid engine brake is certainly the best way to go. Good luck!
